Tender Description:
Item Description: steel sheet of size 15x2500x6400mm., as per drawing: din en 10025-5 s355 j2w+n. sp ecification for ultrasonic testing of steel plates shall be astm-a-578(reapproved 20 01). the acceptance standard shall be "level b" (para 8 of astm-a-578) with frequency 100% (all the plates shall be ut testing),scanning shall be continuous over 100% of p late surface., packing instruction: mild / corten/ en steel coils, sheets and plates:- (a) mil d, en and corten steel sheets in coil form. the coil shall be protected in reasonabl y good condition to withstand normal handling hazard during transit with the fol lowing provision as the barest minimum: i) the whole coil should be wrapped with do uble layer of water proof paper and a biodegradeable plastic sheet of suitable thi ckness. ii) the inner edge of the coil should be protected by gi ring followed by an other iron ring. iii) outer edge of the coil should be wrapped with gi ring. iv) coil sh ould be securely strapped with minium 5 steel bands through the eyes of the coil a nd minium 3 steel bands on the circumference of the eye. v) hot rolled coils shall b e supplied with rust preventive oil coating on the outer layer, inner layer and on t he both edges. vi) coils processed through pickling and or skin passing or cold ro lling of thickness upto 2mm shall be protected against corrosion and rust by coat ing corrosion preventive fluid, soft film, solvent deposited, waterdisplacing to is: 1154 . vii) whole coil should be mounted on wooden blocks for easy lifting/ stacking. viii) the sheets in coil form for thickness 2mm and above shall have: inner dia of coil 450-800mm outer dia of coil 1000-1300mm weight of coil 2.4 - 10 tonnes ix) the sheets in c oil form for thickness below 2mm shall have: inner dia of coil 450-650mm outer dia of coil 1000-1300mm weight of coil 5.0 - 10 tonnes. (b) mild, en and corten steel plates/she ets. i) plates above 5mm shall be supplied with reasonable packing with metal strapi ng for handling during transit and storage. ii) the sheets/plates shall be supplied i n bundles with double layer of water proof paper & a biodegradeable plastic shee t of suitable thickness and metal protection in edges.all the sheets upto 2mm thck ness shall be protected against corrosion and rust by coating corrosion prevent ive fluid, soft film, solvent deposited, waterdisplacing to is: 1154 and all the sheets/ plates above 2mm shall be protected against corosion & rust with suitable mineral oil or other temporary rust preventive coating. iii) all bundles shall have a minimu m of 2 hoops upto 1.2 meter in length and one extra hoop for every additional mete r. the bundles shall also be provided with skid (wooden packing under neath) to fa cilitate handling. iv) optimum weight of the bundle should be 2mt+-10%. mechanical d amange & corrosion during transit if any shall be at the cost of supplier.
