Item Description: dry silica sand for locomotive with specification - clean silica sand, free from clay, loams, mica and other foreign material as per specification no. m-916-51 (r evised 1994),main fraction grain size (2mmm to 600microns size) must be more than 40% , 600microns to 300microns should be 40-50%, 300microns to 180microns should be 10-2 0% and below 180microns should be not more than 05%, duly sieved, dried and packe d in clean good quality nylon gunny bag of size 19inchx15inch, (weighing 25gm per bag) with polythene lamination (of thickness not less than 25 microns) containing 10 kg s and and properly sealed to avoid water entry and should be no leakage of sand th rough stiching holes of sand bag. sample : one bag sand sample ( at least 1kg )with l ab test certificate and one empty. sample sand bag as per required specification to be submitted to
